A dropdown list, or slide at the top, bottom or one side of the screen would be cool, so that only one or two clicks could switch the active character - good for "game-master" style RPs with multiple NPCs coming from one profile. perhaps a special feature like that for "hub-profiles" or other world-building ones.

Though, if we're talking about this in roleplay, a button might be neat near the bottom that lets you switch to other characters.

The problem is the roleplays need a profile before you make a post to connect with and get the live updates with. This is also how typing notifications work. So the dropdown when you're making a post had to go one way or the other.

It might be possible to add a "switch characters" button on the UI which changes which one you're posting with in only two clicks (and no page reload). It would also be possible to present a character wall when looking at a roleplay to select, but that feels clunky too to me.

After making a new character, I suddenly realized I really want to play two different characters in the same multi-character RP that is currently ongoing.

It would be really nice to have each character open on different tabs, or facilitate easy posting as each character, one after the other. Right now, trying to run two characters on different tabs will incur the lost-post problem if not refreshing pages, which forces you to change the character. Thus, the nature of the current system really means you are better off just using one tab and switching characters. But with the tab jumping to the main page upon character switch, it is tiresome to do this back and forth.

This has been implemented in a few ways:

• Switching profiles no longer takes you to the home page
• You can switch profiles at the post level with a character switcher at the bottom of the page
• Posts started as one character are not lost when switching to another

Between that I no longer see any meaningful issues when attempting to play with multiple characters. If there still are, someone should make specific feedback about it.
