Could we call this Doctor Who? Or do we consider it likely that people who like this will search for Whoniverse (ie. is this an in-fandom name)?
That is a toughie. It is an in fandom name, but I am not sure that everyone knows it well. I was trying to think of a name that could umbrella all of the shows, but the most common to show up will be Doctor Who and Torchwood, so perhaps creating two categories would not be so bad.
Both work well. Whoniverse is a canon that covers at least three other canons, spun off but separate from Doctor Who; there's no wrong answers here really. The most comprehensive solution would be to have canons able to be part of other canons, then we go create all of them.
Also it tickles my funny bone that the search query for this would be find profiles part of the whoniverse universe. Internal rhyming!
Found a [wiki](en.wikipedia.org](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whoniverse) that uses the term Whoniverse to cover the sub genres, so it should be all good.
