To clarify - the trait is supposed to be vague, as opposed to (considered in chat) Occupation trait.
Categories would be like: Art, Science, Education, Physical work and the like - level of vagueness is up to discussion
May I suggest the addition of the categories- Retail, Business, ans black market (possibly illegal? To cover all of the thieves, mafia men, etc out there.)

Need to find a consensus about finding a way to categorize this stuff. Also need to find a good litmus test of what "is" and "isn't" an apporpriate category.
My proposition for categories for this trait would be like this - descriptions will be subject to discussion if Trait passes:
None
Character unemployed or for which this does not apply
Student
Character attending to school
Military
Character employed by military or paramilitary organization
Art
Character who is an artist or connected with artistic fields
Science
Character working in any field of science or technology
Education
Character teaching on any level of education
Government
Character representing state or local rule
Business
Character involved in trade of goods, services and circulation of money
Blue collar
Character whose work involves primarily manual labour
Illegal
Character whose source of income comes from illegal actions
Other
Any field of work not covered by standard categories
I think this would be pretty neat, actually! I'd like to be able to fill out a box for a custom entry, too, though.
