It can give people a hard time to get used to the fact that shift+enter is not making a line without breaking a paragraph, but sending a post, leading to unpleasant accidental posting.
I would like a simple checkbox in setting that would allow for disabling it in normal roleplays.

It gets even more confusing when you realize that shift-enter is newline and enter is send when an RP is in chat mode, while RP mode is the opposite. Personally, I'd rather just manually click everything (or just shift-enter to send regardless of mode) and let enter always be a newline.

Not really happy with the two shortcuts being opposite of one another, but on the other hand there really isn't an easy answer. Some people wanted a shortcut to send posts and obviously that can't be enter.
It being configurable is really the best way forward.
