To get the desired result, it is necessary to write find profiles who like scarss so that it has accurate trait category after cutting out s at the end of the name.

This is actually kind of just a limitation of the methodology used. There isn't any way really to tell if you meant to search for scar or scars given the string scars.
Any way to let the parser access the list of categories and see if maybe the scars are anywhere there and only if not, try to cut the s?

Scars doesn't exist, but this does:
find profiles who like agelesss -> results
find profiles who like ageless (the correct name) -> no results
Our search should check first to see if the name exists before considering it a plural.
