Simply put: the links are pretty bright compared to the grey background. On my desktop I sometimes have trouble reading them, on my phone I usually have significant trouble reading them.
Could the blue be made slightly deeper?

I'm of two minds about this:
I'm not really sure where the balance lies though. I intentionally made the white
and black
themes high contrast and left the other two as lower contrast "easier on the eyes" deal.
I didn't suggest this, but I do agree with it. I like the light, but not white, background and would prefer a bit more contrast on the links. Those are lower contrast than most all other text in that theme. Lower contrast is also problematic when using phones and tablets in daylight for a lot of devices out there, and isn't maybe the best style for the default theme.
(Low contrast is weird thing to like, IMO, at least for dark text on light backgrounds, but people like what they like, regardless of the eye-strain they create for themselves (e.g. websites with background images under text in foreground). I do know people with severe eye problems like detached corneas and macro degeneration, and high contrast is very much needed. At night, I like to switch to a dark background because it reduces eye strain when the room is dark already.)
I agree with Cress about a higher-contrast theme being better as a default. Seems safer. This might be a good thing to ask a populated channel about though!
WA: I suspect we can still have a low-contrast theme with legible links. Illegible links is probably too low contrast.
You mentioned meeting WCAG 2 AA color contrast ratios in the chat at some point; that might not be necessary for the light themes, but even a shade of #0083bb which doesn't yet meet the AA standard is a big improvement.
I'd like to add onto this, requesting a slight darkening of...pretty much every color but blue and purple for the 'Dark' theme. I wanted to use green, but it's so vivid, it hurts my eyes. Endorsing~
