The "orange" interface color selection is far too yellow. It is hard to see white text on the yellow field. It is also too light on the Light background, giving too little contrast in both cases. A truer Orange, or darker shade would increase the contrast to white. It would have to get pretty dark before it would damage contrast against a dark background.
