I would like it if RP "ideas", once past a certain amount of IC posts (5-10 maybe?) were automatically removed from the ideas heading. Not everyone is diligent about changing their RP to in progress on their own, and already some with a substantial amount of posts just sit in ideas.

There might be issues here with people posting IC by accident, so I'd like some opinions on whether we consider this valuable or not.
I would back this up - right now, some people don't quite care about changing it, and ideas area gets muddled up because of that and less useful. Which has side effect of presenting less activity to new people, when total amount of ongoing plays that were not changed to In progress is roughly around 25% of the number of properly marked ongoing ones.
And I expect it not to be a dying trend myself.
People can deal with their own laziness or forgetfulness without limiting anything further.
Well yeah, but if there's an advertisements section full of lively, active, no-longer-really-advertising roleplays, then the ads section becomes crap and unreliable. So it's us dealing with their laziness and the community and site's quality suffering for it.
So, shunting roleplays that seem very much in progress out of the ideas section could be pretty helpful for picking up after others.
