So that those who are into soft vore are aware that it is the interest for them. It strongly indicates soft vore through the description already, but since hard vore was added, it should be more in line as its opposite.

hardvore and softvore hardly are the same. it is slightly confusing that they're both called vore, but the name is pretty much the only thing they have in comon. its about as similiar as romantic making out and brutal rape - its both sex, so why split it up, right? people who're into one of it typically aren't interested in the other, it makes sense to split it up.

Falah, they're already split up. We have a hard vore interest already. But we also have a different way of doing interests, usually. For example, instead of just having bdsm, we'd have specific things, like spanking, bondage, etc. With another feature work soon, we'd be able to specify how "extreme" an interest is, so we could say we were interested in up to extreme spanking or light bondage. If we had hard/soft vore, we'd end up with weirdness like extreme soft vore or light hard vore.

Those aren't weird though, or oxymorons. Extreme soft vore exists (and isn't hard vore), and vice versa for light hard vore. Although hard vore's more extreme by nature and they appear to be named after that fact, they're apples and oranges worth handling as having their own light/extreme spectra.
