Maybe we can just simplify this to unpleasant or off-putting? I doubt we need the extremeness of repulsive here.

Personally, only assumption of usability of this one I had is when people don't want somebody that is uncharismatic but just... off-putting. For the time when you need that jerk of a boss, that disgusting criminal and the like. But I guess that, if nobody will want this, they will just not add any points into the stuff~
