My only problem with calling it "language" is that it will likely make people believe that it is the language they are roleplaying/writing with, instead of what the character/profile speaks natively.

But we're not calling it Character language
. The suggestion is for language

Here is the commentary of the suggestion before I edited it out:
I believe having an option for the Language that our character speaks would be helpful to go hand in hand with the Language barrier trait that is already up. Now I browsed this right before I posted and I had already seen a member state that it would be a useless trait due to their being so many different types and for this I think I have a solution. Leave it to three basic variants to the trait itself.
English Speaking, Non-English Speaking (Realistic), Non-English Speaking (Fantasy) and the details as to what Language it is that is being spoken can be added by us later in the drop down box in the edit options. This would help characters such as mine Nikusui whom speaks Japanese with only a very basic level of fractured English and really plays into the 'Language barrier' and just expands on it just that little bit more for more understanding and connection between two users.
