Set preferences on body height. Also, that 50% is a very arbitrary metric.
Preferences are an all or nothing thing. Some people would consider size difference a core or mandatory thing. Plus, you wouldn't be able to search for a preference when looking through roleplays.

Yes, they're all or nothing, that is rather the point of them.
Plus, you wouldn't be able to search for a preference when looking through roleplays.
This is being changed coming down the pipe.
It's kinda silly there are only example for humanoid body types. >.>
In case of this going through, the examples wouldn't even stay in the description to keep it shorter and more to the point.
Maybe this could be something more akin to 'Expresses an interest in scenes where there is a large, and obvious difference in size' ?

I still object to that as it's not very much an action you can do, it's a preference you have for your partners, which we already have a system for, and they're called preferences.
Brenton's definition is a lot better, yeah. And at the end of the day, profiles should work for the players, not the other way around.
I agree with Griz. Partner preferences are fine, but they won't emphasize that the difference in size between two people is actually a big deal and a fun thing to focus on in play. We can fill in the context, but that is neither highly visible nor searchable.
Alternatives could be indicating that a particular preference is actually a major focal point (but that's going to increase the information density of the preferences area yet more), or just take interests that are about preferences.

If this is allowed to be made an interest, then there is no point in having preferences, and we might as well have every preference as an interest. People will just see this added and want to get their own preferences added in as interests.
I'm fine with interests which are actually actionable and relate to size-difference, e.g an interest in physically overpowering someone, lifting and carrying them, pinning them down. Just not the vague concept of "I like bigger characters".
Is there any way that we could have certain preferences marked as core in some way? Something that makes it clear that size difference is more important to a character than other preferences, for example.

Possible, but right now all preferences are treated like that. Even just two or three preferences mismatched on either side will really hurt the compatibility score.
Since people can prefer size differences in different ranges (from just a head short, to kaiju/human and beyond), it would make sense to have a way to specify which ranges you're talking about. And for most people, it would make sense to specify on which side of the difference you wanna be as well.
Something like:
Size difference (so and so) - Being the smaller/bigger one

We can already do this by setting preferences on body height.
Ah, sorry; I should study the site more before commenting I guess...

It is okay to ask and don't know, so don't be sorry ^^' Nobody will hold that against you.

Any interest in size play is covered by the preferences on body height
.This is the fundamental problem.
Bicycle has the point. It makes it searchable as a desired focus or not.
I'm fine with the fact that this is mostly a matter of Preferences, but the problem I have is that I 'Like' all heights, and really don't have any problem playing with any size of character, other than Micro. So I have all but micro set to liked, but I LOVE size difference, and there's no real way to separate the short and average in my preferences from the tall and macro. I could put it in the context, but as has been stated previously, that's not super visible, and it's not searchable. I could so this handled by a third level of desire for preferences. Like Love, Like, and Hate(or just handled with symbols, but you get the idea).

Some, sure. But growth, shrinking (of whole bodies and parts of bodies), crushing, shifting, tasting, micros-used-as-toys-and-tools, ect, ect. are not expressible with preferences. All of which can and should be added individually too eventually, as with all the other things. But like the 'transformation' 'vore(s)', non-con, ect. that cover quite a few things, this could be a useful catch-all until interest grouping is implemented.
Yes, these would not be preferences, just interests added.
Honestly I'd be down to see "Size-Play" listed as an umbrella term for "Expresses an interest in roleplay involving significant size difference between two or more characters." I think that covers macro/micro as well as simply someone taller/bigger/thicker with someone shorter/smaller/tighter. Because setting preferences for size is one thing, but focusing roleplay on size difference specifically can still fall under the categories of Mandatory, Core, Yes, Will Try, No.
So long as we have some kind of action-y definition for this that is not completely and totally covered by a preference (like the current suggestion). It would have to be something like:
Size Play (/difference)
Expresses an interest in using a difference in body size or height to overpower, humiliate, or otherwise change the dynamics of a relationship with another character.
I would change humiliate to the more neutral dominate, but sounds good.
Maybe just:
Expresses an interest in using a difference in body size or height to change the dynamics of a relationship with another character.
Keeps a little shorter, still makes it action oriented, but doesn't overly imply anything about domination or such, since that's not exactly the purpose of size-play, at least to me. I love it for the awesome cuddles!
