Feedback ยท Extending the character limit (accepted)

For those of us who like to have bajillions upon bajillions upon bajillions of characters, how about extending the limit?

I can understand not wanting people to make thousands of blank profiles so you could make it so profiles can only have a certain amount of blank character at a time. For example you can only have X amount of characters under silver or gold standard. I'd personally put 5-10 blank profile limit and then put limits on how many of each completion level a user can have, like a hard limit of 100 characters in total but only 50 gold completion level characters are allowed and 40 for silver level characters and 25 for bronze? This way you could limit users who don't take the time to fill out their profiles while also rewarding characters that actually fill out their characters more.

The specifics can be discussed though.

Definitely like the idea of limiting based on how much you fill out your profiles, though it'd be the most expensive option to limit these.

The only problem I can think of is a bot designed to create and fill out characters. The hard limit is important in this case. you could have a lower hard limit. Maybe you could also implement a system like F-list's Verified system where a user verifies that all the artistic references are original to the character and owned by the person who made the profile and have that factor in as well but I wouldn't worry about bots made to make characters though. It would be easy to spot and with a hard limit they couldn't get too far.

I'd definitely support a higher character limit, whatever it currently is, just because Litphoria's layout seems to be designed towards higher character numbers. The active character system, ads and just how roleplay is handled means that you don't have F-list's problems with only really being able to use one or two at a time, so I could see numbers going up quite a bit as time goes on. Something which I personally really approve of, since it also means that people are more likely to get their weird/interesting ideas out into the world.

There could be a hard limit, and then to break that limit, you need to do something a computer can't do. To 'unlock' it. So it still blocks out Bots, while allowing human beings to do their characters.
