A very small number aren't give/take. Realism, Drama, and Warfare come to mind.

That said though, this is totally an actiony thing. Just not an actiony thing you do to other people.

I'd see it in the air of bonding and friendship, myself, clearly something to be done and thus an interest, despite the lack of give/take.

We do have some interests which give/take does not apply to, but we should be moving towards stuff which it does. This will become increasingly more important as we add more things to interests, like forced/willing.

Usually the things which don't have give/take apply to them are groups of interests, like drama, realism, and warfare. After interest categorization those will no longer exist. (realism might become a trait, given current suggestions)

I am not actually the op, but this is my opinion. I understand the likes of drama, realism and warfare, but what about bonding (one can give bonding and not receive it?), friendship, consensual, and others of that strain? I personally feel that there is a place for interests which are not specifically give/take and it falls into the area of the nonsexual ones for the most part. Force/willing and give/take are wonderful ideas that make things cleaner, but what about domesticity? It feels like this would be in the realm of nonsexual, but still useful interests, to me at least.

I've been thinking for a while that all the interests we've just covered aren't really actiony things (and you can't do them to anyone) for the most part, but really just describe prevalent themes in the roleplay. Might help to work out what we want to do with them. It would certainly help to keep things other than what we specifically do.

Yes, a lot of nonsexual interests would be activities that two people do together, not with one person performing and the other receiving. A big reason why it's difficult for me to come up with nonsexual interests is because there aren't a lot that fall under give/take, and that stops me.

Interests should be actions, but they don't all have to be give/take compatible in my opinion, because that will just narrow the pool to sexual or kink-oriented ones.

I don't really see this as a theme. I will let endorsements determine if this is something people want, then I'll monitor for actual use.
