This feels like it would fit as a Roleplay Theme fairly well, the desire to have the particular ooc contact included, or to avoid it completely.
I don't think real life / OOC stuff would be appropriate for a site about in character roleplaying.
Unfortunately, no one is putting any points into roleplay themes (I can't as I create the feedback) so it will need more support before it is implemented. Maybe we need to make a show of desire for that, so that things like this can go where they belong?

I don't necessarily agree than an OOC interest would fit as a theme. I see a theme as something that occurs within the RP but isn't a particular interest. This sounds like something to do with how the players communicate? Which is uh, rather aside the point of a roleplaying site.
This gives some useful information about a player, so I think it definitely fits on profiles. The kind of roleplaying that goes on here involves a person's most intimate and personal fantasies, and for some people that forms a bond that goes beyond telling a story together.
Including this wouldn't discourage or encourage that kind of behavior, but it would tell users where the boundaries are up front.

A thought, this might be the kind of thing we add to writer profiles.

A writer profile would be a non-character profile that is used to indicate what you as a writer enjoy and will play as/with. An interest in how you communicate without a character seems like it belongs most on such a profile.
Mmm... Thinking about this and some friends I know who do this kind of thing, it does seem appropriate for the actual character. It is also workable for this site if we acknowledge a roleplay is more than two characters interacting, there's also two people there who will be interacting OOC. Some people like engaging in dom/sub rules-followimg and other stuff during the course of a roleplay with their partner, some will do that only with people they're close to and some with strangers they're just meeting for the first time.
This one looks good!
Writer profiles are a whole other thing that are a big benefit not just for this one trait. They're already their own item here.
As for the last point, for that very reason, it's possible to have more than one writer profile.
Got something to say?
