Allow the founder of a RP to enlist a posting order.
Core Idea:
- When someone desires to post to a RP (or starts), they are added to an order-list.
- When it is their turn, they are notified via email that it is their turn to post.
- Once they post, the next person is notified.
Options/Extra things:
- Capacity - How many people can join the RP at once.
- Timeout - if someone doesn't post in X hours / days / etc. then their post can be skipped.
- Pass - if someone knows ahead of time that their schedule is impacted and that their turn shouldn't hold up the line, they can pass on a turn.
- Auto-Pass - If the person knows for an extended period of time that they won't be able to play, then they can have the system continuously pass their turn.
- Drop-out - the player drops out of the RP, no longer on the posting list. (Can be done after X passes, timeouts, auto-passes, etc.)
Posting order is visible at all times while viewing the RP:
- Link to character profile
- Current posting player
- Time left on current character's turn to post.
- Stats of the Order List: Capacity, Time-Limit to post, # of (auto)passes before kicked, etc.
- Short description for who each character is in regards to the RP.
Concerns:
- If one large RP breaks up into smaller ones in the same thread. (Party A goes to explore the town, party B goes to the river)
This suggestion is intended to help open roleplays happen with a bit of extra structure, so players can expect when they're going to be posting in the middle of an RP.
