In one of my inbox threads, I am not able to send anymore; every time I try, the following error message pops up:

Interesting. Seems to be related to the e-mail sending failing somehow.

Does that mean that the site is supposed to send an email for every PM received or close enough to that? Because I only received 3 emails about PMs compared to the dozens of actual PMs from a few people I was chatting with.

The site schedules a job to send an e-mail for every non-chat roleplay post. Since PMs are roleplays, they inherit this. However, e-mails are only sent if the message was posted when you're not active on the site, to avoid spamming you (since you'll probably notice it, or might even get a pop-up telling you if you're connected at that exact moment).

That makes perfect sense, yes; I wanted to have it confirmed. What you describe matches my experience, so far, Avent. And I see those notifications once I allow them on the browser.

I'm having the same issue with a public roleplay.

Oh, you have it in a public one, Ianna? Would you mind telling me which, so I can test on the public server without having to pry in any private conversations?

Annoyingly, this only seems to exist on the live site. I cannot reproduce it locally or on the testing server. Will continue playing with this.

Also, I have a notification you PMed me, but the PM is empty.

Avent, I just got an idea from roughly remembering the look of things shortly before this happened, and I hope this helps reproduce it or helps another way:

Shortly before this happened, I noticed that the other person was typing something at the same time as me, and I was typing something significantly long (3680 characters including spaces to be exact). When I finally sent that part, it seemed to me like the sequence was a bit off; as if the short posts that my partner was sending ended up showing on the thread after my long post, just because I started the post before them; and maybe...they went offline while I was still finishing up my long post. Does that makes sense?

Yes, my partner also experiences the same thing: receives notifications, but cannot see my last messages.

Seems like it was caused by a database error. Looks cleared up on my end now, can everyone please test this?

Tested. I can send and see my own PM now. So seems fine. However, the receiver didn't seem to be receiving my most recent messages, but I received hers. I assume she just hasn't figured out something or so.

Yarp. Tell them to connect to session if it's an RP, messages shoudl send/receive correctly now.
