Also referred to as Project Shrine Maiden, Touhou is a bullet hell game involving heavy Japanese mythological themes, with every game in the main line being made by a man named Jun'ya Ota, more often called ZUN. It centers around Reimu Hakurei, a Miko of Shinto faith, and youkai exterminator. The game is known for its immense cast (which is very heavily predominantly female), great soundtrack, and low-quality art (commonly referred to as "ZUN art").

Personally I'd say Touhou Project over Touhou (don't know how to do the text effect thing)

OP here. I would lean towards Touhou Project , since that is the official name of the series. Typing in "Touhou" should bring up that option of Touhou Project anyway, I believe.
I agree, Touhou Project is the proper name and we should go with that and with Touhou as an alias.
