Feedback ยท Friends/Online Status (implemented)

As far as I know, this hasn't been added, but being able to know when someone is on the site (For Real Time RPs) and having a list of Friends to go along with it would be something nice. Though the Roleplays don't get lost, being able to tell when someone is around or not would be nifty. However, I have no idea of this feasibility for a browser service. I'm not saying Litphoria should replace Chats, but that it should try to compliment some of its features for people who don't necessarily like Forum Play. (After all, Roleplays automatically update don't they?) Could be a little icon at the corner next to Logout, or anywhere else for that matter.

These are two different although related features. Do we think it is safe to assume the main reason for having a friend list would be to identify online users?

Well, without a friend list, all you need to do is bookmark profiles in your browser or something, or keep touch with them in the Roleplays you hold with them. So, online users is the only reason to have a friends list really. Maybe also to simplify the sending of private messages... but you know what I mean!

A downside is that sometimes people might check this site, see no buddies are online, and then just go somewhere else - so often that they might stop coming here. That is a problem any site without 'friends/online' lists would face, I suppose.

I do not really like post/forum/e-mail rp, I only enjoy real-time, so I support this post if there are not already such plans in place to put in a system like that. :)

There's at least a little bit more "to do" on a site like this compared to competitors, namely the feedback system. But yeah, the risk is ran that certain people will log in just to check if anyone is around, and duck out if no one is. Something similar could happen without it though - someone could just sign in to see if anyone had posted to their plays, and if not, duck out. So it doesn't seem to me to be a problem inherit with the system.

Got something to say? Why don't you register and participate?
Litphoria has a unique community feedback system, where the community decides what profile options are available, and what order new features are developed.
