This invariably conflicts with cephalopod (litphoria.com) and is quite a large net to throw as far as species is concerned. Maybe we can make this bony fish
so that they are at least distinct and not overlapping?
I made this definition up knowing it will be flawed - the whole issue is that you can't strictly define fish as a species too nicely. We can list the traits possessed, but maybe there is some better way?

I would recommend making this at least Osteichthyes (en.wikipedia.org) (Bony Fish) so that we do not conflict with outstanding suggestions. Since a cephalopod
is a fish.
I can do that, but it will mean making separate one for sharks if we want to be accurate.

That is actually probably more useful than not, since a shark is fairly distinct from... say... a clown fish. As are all of the other not-bony-but-not-squid fish.
