Rather than delete all evidence of a profile's existence, perhaps keep it on the site under an anonymous profile called "Deleted Profile ####" or something, so that the posts can remain on the site.

I like this idea, I don't like how someone deletes a profile (does it happen if they leave an RP as well?) and all their posts mysteriously vanishes out of existence.
It would be very confusing to catch up on the continuity of a role-play and the previous generation of participants all seem to be reacting to missing posts.

Was pretty sure we already had a suggestion for this, but the user might have deleted their profile. Heh.
I am definitely for this, with a possible exception for completely private roleplays. However, anything you make public should remain public.
I disagree that completely private roleplays should somehow still face the bizarre loss of posts when someone deletes their account. I've had one private RP already struck by this. In that particular case, the RP wasn't far along and I knew the individual personally, but if it was farther along I'd be rather upset that I had no way to get a log of what we'd done thus far.
I'm with Serafina on this. I'd prefer all posts remain except those manually deleted by the account, simply because that way, I can read my old posts no matter where they are if I delete a profile.

Some community discussion websites and forums also have "archive" states, wherein posts cannot be deleted or modified after a few months of inactivity.
Still all for this one.

We accept this, and will work out how exactly we'll handle deletion.
