Turn the headers: recent news, recent feedback, ads by active users, active roleplays, active chats, interests, traits, categories, and canons into links to their respective pages. The tiny "more..." button under any header with icons (ads, roleplays, and chats) is easy to skip over.

I've thought about this, but then we end up in a situation where that entire panel is just links.
I have also thought of having the header have a little arrow to the right of it and have a hover-over effect like choice boxes in feedback creation have,
Is there actually a problem with that entire panel being just links, especially if it is already 90% links?

It's more a design thing. If the entire panel is links, then there's reduced contrast between navigation, content, and organizational items on the page.
That's fair to be concerned about.
I wonder if there's a way to keep it very clearly distinguished anyway, since there are user experience benefits from making these things headings.
