While playing with the naming limits, I ran into this. 28439 (litphoria.com) The "²" shows up fine in the tab name and in edit messages (Created "∂³∑x²" successfully) but not above the pid, on any profile list, or in the header. Although if I copy/paste, it does still paste the whole of it correctly.

If you copy and paste the space after the x on the profile, you can get the 2, which is interesting. Seems like a bug to me.

The font likely just doesn't support that particular character. I'm not in any rush to quadruple the download size of the font to include characters people won't regularly use in their names, either.

This character wouldn't show up anywhere we use the Quicksand font face, which includes the character creation page, the profile page itself, and the character list.
It shows up in chat, the character picker, the typing indicator, and other places we use the Lato font face.
