We've got the human species, and also a human body type. The latter should be called Humanoid instead, since that's the name of the body type: people say "humanoid aliens", and "humanoid monsters" to describe their shape, not "human aliens" (unless it's a sci-fi).

Well yeah, of course it's not. But in practice it's being used to mean humanoid: see find alien profiles with body type of human, find demihuman profiles ..., find goblinoid profiles ..., etc, because it's the only humanoid body type anyway. Lots of those aren't humans, one of them is a space rock.

I guess, some traits are not used in practice like in theory. If it means humanoid it should be named humanoid. Perhaps it should be split into a "human" and a "humanoid" body type.

I think the meaning here was to utilize the fact that if you did find human profiles you'd get both humans and human-like creatures. However, I don't see this as being a particular benefit since not all humanoids are humans.

I do agree on the initial point. Humanoid body type is fine. However, humanoid as a species is a bad idea. To me, anyway.

We don't have plans to rename the Human species to Humanoid. Demihuman already covers the humanoid species in general.
