The idea is, that it's possible to search especially for characters with human feet, or for those who don't have human feet. Plantigrade also includes chars like bears and mice and anthros who have anthropomorphic paws.
By the way, is "Feet Type" correct? Shouldn't it be "Foot Type" like "Breast Type"?

I can dig this, but it's also breaking form with the current scheme. I remember the feet types human paws and hooves (litphoria.com) discussion covered a scheme change for this, and it does matter more to me what someone's feet look like than how they rest on the ground precisely, but I'm saying that as someone into footplay.
Yes, but there was a problem with "human/paws/hooves" since there are anthropomorphic feet (of anthros) which are plantigrade but not human feet. Problem with plantigrade is indeed that it is a technical term which doesn't describe how feet look like. Hobbit feet are not very erotic (for me) but plantigrade of course.

This would create a problem, since now a human could choose both plantigrade and human and both choices would be correct.
Yes. So what is the problem?

Because that's confusing as all get out? No matter what you pick, you're both correct and not. That's obviously not desireable and would complicate searching, comparisons, etc.
It's confusing if I create a character with human feet, which feet type I shall take, because "plantigrade" is also technically correct? This means if I play a shark, the species "fish" is also confusing, since I don't know if I shall take "shark" or "fish"? Trait options shall be exclusive?

It'd work if we renamed "Plantigrade" to "Non-humanoid Plantigrade". For those that want weird nonhuman feet, this would be helpful for them.

Closing this as a duplicate of the rename of feet types to human, paws, and hooves. It's very likely we'll be recreating this (it's there in the name!) but for now we don't need an independent suggestion for this.
