Feedback comments from deleted characters should stay around (accepted)
As the site ages, and characters come and go, feedback is aging not so gracefully. It's becoming more common that a feedback item from a year ago, like feet types human paws and hooves (litphoria.com) as an example that came up today, will have a character missing, all their comments gone, and whatever remains making little sense because it was in reply to them. It's very destructive to our feedback section's public discourse, because so much of it just vanishes forever.
When a character is deleted, their feedback comments should stay around. They should however be dissociated from that character forever: their name should go from "Wrecked Avent" (a link) to "Wrecked Avent.0 (character removed)" to signal name and character number (in case people were using it) and with no link.

Just noticed it myself that many comments have disappeared. Is this only happening with feedback? Imagine you change the name of your char and all the RP texts you have written go poof. Surprise! ;)
We can actually change the names of our characters without having to delete and recreate them! (Wow, a system that finally does that for us! :D) But peoples' characters still come and go, unfortunately.
That's a good question to raise actually - I just did a test on our testing server and changed the character's name, and the comment stayed intact, with the name of the character changing to match.
Got something to say?
