The new settings window for a roleplay (controlling options like message view type, spacing, fontsize and submit post shortcut) does not appear properly when you are making the first post in a new roleplay. Unlike normal, where it appears over the top of the roleplay posts, before any posts have been made it does not take priority, and ends up largely behind all the other elements, with only a thin sliver viewable/accessible.

For me I get this if there's no posts & the setting's showing.
If I hide the setting, and just get the empty chat log, everything's fine.
Oh, if hiding the setting works, then this isn't a big deal.
It's a big deal if people don't know they can or should hide the setting. Since they often won't, it's a big enough deal.
I'm confused what's meant by "hiding the setting". Don't settings exist to be changed? Users will need to see them to be able to do that.
Hiding the RP setting (background information written by the RP creator), in order to access the settings for the RP.
