Chat messages can show up in doubles (until we refresh), including sometimes our own apparently. Editing or deleting one deletes both, since it's the same message. Yesterday this led to someone thinking they'd double posted then deleting their whole post in an unfortunate coincidence.

Well, the same thing just happened to me right now and it robbed the world of a terribly good post.

I did a small thing that might have helped mitigated this, but will need a better way to reproduce this to really solve
