The owner field in the right hand side of a room description is bugged, anyone other than the room owner can show up there.
We managed to reliably reproduce it a while back:
- Have a room. Existing, new, doesn't matter. Check who the room owner is marked as in the description.
- Join the room as a profile that's nowhere in the room's backlog. (For a chat, it's OK if they have spoken in it before, just so long as their messages are no longer in the backlog.
- Post as that profile.
- Refresh the page and check the room description: it now shows that character as the room owner.
This change has no actual effect; the room doesn't actually have ownership transferred and whoever's shown there doesn't acquire any power over the room. The actual room owner is still shown as exactly the same in chat and roleplay lists - the first avatar's always the owner, and that doesn't get changed by this bug.
This is mostly harmless for chats and roleplays, but some users won't be sure who the owner is that they should be PMing with issues. It's a bigger problem for ads, where if someone else is posting, we might be mislead about who's actually advertising.
