related to I often won't see my own edit in the backlog
I have had a partner express this to me, and had the same issue myself. Posts that are edited do not display as the edited posts when they are viewed. That is to say, you edit a post in the separate window, and then you return to the actual window for the RP, you are still seeing the old, un-edited post. When I just went back to check, and re-loaded the RP in the process, the edited post was then correctly displaying.

There's two ways to see an edit.
Otherwise you just get your cached version.
Users are very rarely going to be in the room if they're taken to a separate screen to edit :o
The thing is this used to work as expected.
Lately I have had to completely exit the site and reenter to get the edited post to show up. Like Otaku says the edit post feature used to work just fine for me. It is only lately that it has started having this issue.
It started around the time this got fixed: offline pre load backlogs are stuck at 1st of march (litphoria.com). The backlog caching wasn't working properly, now it is and this is a thing, so there's gotta be a fix made somehow/where for it.
