Feedback ยท Keyboard shortcut to activate IC or OOC (in review)

I'm one of those people who likes using their keyboard far more than their mouse, and the IC/OOC switchers are way over there and the mouse is the only thing that can activate them.

I'd like to have a keyboard shortcut to activate IC or activate OOC. ctrl+i and ctrl+o seem like the obvious choices, though one of them corresponds to the browser Open command. They don't have to make too much sense as long as they're available.

A toggle command could work too, but if we had it, I'd prefer it in addition to a straight-up IC command and OOC command, not instead. I would appreciate the comfort of hitting ctrl+i and knowing I'm in IC - unlike a toggle command it's impossible for it to send me into the mode I don't want.

The switcher is going to get some work in the near future.

In the meantime, there actually are some shortcuts.

Starting a post with an asterisk or with "/me" will switch over to IC mode.

Starting a post with a ( will move it into ooc. So something like

doot doot

would be IC if it's the first thing in a post, and something like

(doot doot)

would go to OOC.

BE AWARE that these shortcuts toggle the switch, so any further posts will also be in that mode.

I'd like this for switching between modes mid-post or without having to go ( space backspace backspace if i need to correct it after making an IC post or whatnot.

ctrl+i, ctrl+b, ctrl+s and some others will likely become shortcuts for formatting, as is customary for rich text editors.

Can "[" be included along with "(" for OOC posts? I don't use (these) because [these] are way quicker to type.
