Exactly as it says in the title. I have tried connecting with two different browsers, with two different devices, with two different internet sources, and after logging out and back in. When I attempt to open a chat or read any messages, I'm given the colorful circle and the 'Connecting' text, but no further progress is made.

Edit: fixed by editing my character.

It does not read exactly as my issue as I could use other browsers and within the same it was depending on the character used and only on one of my devices.

But there it was helping to edit and save the characters in question. That worked like a charm. I suggest to at least attempt this solution.

Since yesterday i can't connect eighter. My browser tried to log for 6 hours when i was in bed with no result

And just made a test to try to log on chat when logged off, it was instantaneous, but i can't as i'm logged in.

Ammariel, give your profile an update as in "Edit"+"Save" (maybe with a little tweak like adding a new interest, just to be on the safe side)... as said, that worked for 2 of my characters (the other ones had no issue)

I'm having the same problem as the OP. I've even tried rebooting my internet and the issue has been going on for days. I can't get beyond the 'loading" menu no matter how long I wait or how many times I refresh.

Updating my character worked as well. How weird.

When I had this issue it was very strange. Only on one character, though. Steps taken to try and correct:

Clear cache Incog mode in Chrome Different browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome) Cleared site data

None of those steps worked. The only thing that worked was saving the character again, and then I could access all chats.

I've encountered this issue, specifically connecting with a rp posts. I've tried using different devices, incognito mode, refreshing, re-saving character, clearing cache and cookies, and the issue is still not resolved. Any other ideas?

I am also experiencing the same issue. I tried closing the tab and opening a new one and refreshing the page after waiting for a few minutes. Going to edit the character and see if it fixes the issue for me.

It looks like this issue can only occur once per account, and the account needs to have more than one character. I've never heard of someone having the issue twice.

Sadly I am experiencing this as well. I cannot load any PM's, not even the help RP chat. It loads if I am not logged in but has no message typing area. Once logged in any chat window that I open gives me the spinning circle and never loads regardless of what browser or what device I use. =-(

I have exactly the same problem. Tried editing and saving my only character, no change, still can't read PMs or RP messages. Tried on two different browsers, including my canary, unmodified Chrome (on win7). Trying to understand what's going on I ran a console, and I see that the last element loaded (with server's response 200) is for URI starting with '/signalr/start?transport=webSockets (...)' Looks like this issue is over 6 months old - could someone please look into it? As in provide alternative means to access the messages? TA.

I have a slightly different problem I can't read my RP messages I don't know what to do I'm stumped
