Demigods are beings that are created from the mating of a deity with a mortal, or in some cases, a demon and a mortal. The deific parent of such a being is generally a greater God like Zeus or Oðin.

edited to be a suggestion for a species category, which is what this sounds like
Thanks for the clarification! I am still getting used to all this.
We do have a supernatural nature of Deity.
Deity isn't the same. It implies a level of power that I and others don't really want to play, or play off of. If you look at Herakles, that story epitomizes what it is to be close to immortal... but not quite. A deity cannot be killed. A demigod can. They are usually epic heroes, but they can still be challenged and defeated. With actually roleplaying a god, not so much.
Would it make sense for this to also be a supernatural nature, where e.g. Herakles would pick Species of Human, Supernatural Nature of Demigod?
I could go for either way, as long as it was one of the choices in there somewhere. :-)

Ever heard of Ragnarök? ;)
Sure have. The Norse pantheon is interesting in that they can die, but they are an exception to the rule, as was Osiris. Most deific beings, if they die, are resurrected in some fashion. The dying and rising deity is archetypal. It's even reflected in the Ragnarök story in that Baldr rises from Helheim to assume his position as ruler of the world that emerges from the ashes of the Twilight of the Gods. I love that you even know how to use that diacritic! Most people don't.
Oh, I can even write Götterdämmerung. Well, the spell-check demanded an ö, I'd have tried Ragnarok for the English version. Or Ragnarøk for the nørdic look.
I am suitably impressed!
