Currently, there is no way to send a PM (or note, however you want to call it) to a person without switching character in the top right.
It would be nice if the button that prompts the textbox also had the same character switcher in it as the public chatrooms do, making it less annoying having to switch characters.

The problem is here is people sending PMs on the wrong character accidentally, which actually was a big problem before we had the current switching system.

Also, this will probably be redesigned with the other profile updates this month.
