Branding shouldn't be thought of in terms of stages. You're either branded or your not, whether or not the brand is big or small doesn't matter. What should be altered is how they are labeled. There is already a clarification for ownership, there should be on for other forms of branding as well. Religious branding and criminal branding should be included as well. The Mild/Moderate/Extreme levels should also be removed so as to avoid confusion.

I agree with this, the "severity" of a brand is far less important then the purpose behind it. The current levels of degree are pointless for this.

I would add "Military" to the current list as well.

Why not? I could easily imagine a character from a 40K sort of universe having such a thing.

Okay. So yes, this is all acceptable so far aside from the military thing which still seems kinda sketchy.
