Just a little something that popped into my head while attempting to delve into serious roleplay. Perhaps it's just a style choice, but I noticed the following pattern:
*action* "quote" *action*
Having to swap between * and " is slightly awkward to my /me trained fingers. Imagine, instead:
*action "quote" action*
It's similar to the above except with quotes being treated as escape characters. Maybe I'm just being lazy. You decide.

You of course don't need to write with "quotes".

Can't say I'm surprised to see the idea already covered by someone else. Also, yes, there is no 'need' to format posts that way, aside from conforming to a standard. Was merely putting an idea out for consideration. It seems everything worth saying has already been said in that previous thread. I will close this one as it holds no further purpose aside from reviving a dead topic.
