Rename Teenager to Adolescent (needs discussion)
The teenager (litphoria.com) age option is meant to convey the character's between childhood and adulthood, and normally going through a lot of physical and mental changes as they grow up.
There's another word for this: teenagers are adolescents. Humans just coincidentally experience adolescence during their teenage years, but other species do not. (Like a bug. Or a dog. Or a very long-lived elf race.)
We should rename Teenager to Adolescent to be more appropriate to the various non-human races.

I can see the reason for this. The definition of "teenager" is in it's name - it's a point in time that dignifies when a person is from any age at their life that ends in -teen, so from thirteen to nineteen (though many people consider eighteen the start of adulthood as it is the age of majority around the world in most places), whereas adolescent dignifies the period of time one is growing up from childhood to adulthood, which coincides with teenage years.
TBT I could go for just both. But, adolescent works too.
Fits well with the new description then. Since you are already at it. Young adult: "..an older teen", should also be changed then.
