Option for more images (needs discussion)
Some characters are hard to convey in only 4 images -- one I'm working on now takes an intersection of 6, maybe 8 to fully convey what's going on for her. As we know, those images could cover what a lot of description would. Or just look really nice & enticing to the right people.
I'd like to have the option of 2, or maybe 4 extra images on my profile. I'd happily pay for this if need be.

Images are the biggest source of bandwidth consumption for the site, simply because that's just how images are. Increasing the number of images will increase the bandwidth load and in the longterm increase the cost of hosting the site. That's not to say that the limit will always be stuck at four, just that there are some costs to keep in mind if that were to happen.
Eventually when the site has its own patreon page, extra images on profiles could potentially make for a good monthly goal. Before that though, this topic could use some discussion on its own merits. It's not the case that extra images would have to wait for the site to first have a patreon page.
It's worth pointing out that we may also get a larger limit when we get image embeds inside of the profile description. Overall, I have nothing against this in theory, but I'd like to get the patreon page that Grizzly bear mentions up and running so that I can be assured in myself I won't have to worry too much about the costs associated with hosting lots and lots of images.
I actually managed to find a good four images anyway for what it's worth
I made a Feedback post with this idea within those very lines. Seeing the responses from managers and admins, I'd like to reiterate a statement I made in my own feedback post. The moment I seen I was limited to four pictures, I had a feeling players were going to make new profiles just to continue galleries. While this doesn't seem to be a very frequent case for the vast majority of profiles I've seen, I can say I've also seen series of profiles continuing one gallery into 20+. With that, the bandwidth ends up being used, regardless. The only difference is those are few users with several profiles for galleries verses many users with larger gallery space. Either way, I don't think it would hurt to have just a bit more.
