Maybe rename to magician? I know it sounds more like parlor tricks than actual magic, but to me, "Magical" describes and even or object, not an occupation.
Also, I would argue that handling magic and using it are very different jobs. It's like the difference between a biologist and a doctor. They over lap a lot, but few would say they're interchangeable.
event* and overlap*
Sorry, I was typing quickly.
its to cover basis of "mage", "sorcerer", "arcanist". Magician... will not fit the wide range of Magic-user job cricerita , I'm afraid.
if you have other, more fitting suggestions for the name, then you are welcome to give them.
I think in most circles, all of those terms are used interchangeably. Some continuities and canons will distinguish but on the whole I don't know anyone who would say, "mage," is distinct from, "sorcerer".
If you read the other trait-options, it is named "Religion" not "priest", "Science", not "Scientist". So it could be "Magic" or "Sorcery" instead of mage.
Got something to say?
