Fur was suggested once before and rejected because "fur" can mean all kinds of things. There's been a couple of times things got added after previously getting rejected though so that doesn't forbid asking for this again.
Also if you're the same person who brought up Marsupial, this is actually literally the place to suggest those options. The title you filled out would be the suggestion of the interest/trait/option/canon, the description you filled out would be its description. Instead of suggesting "Why no X option?" you should probably just go ahead and suggest it, we don't have stuff until someone does that. Like, right here, edit that title to Fur, edit that description to a proposed description, put forward your case in a comment.
Alright well nobody quite explained that before.
"Fur" is not a length.
"Trimmed" is also not a length and it's not a pubic-hair-length trait. I'd say trait-options like "fur" or "dyed", why not?
By the way it should be: automatic suggestion for the trait pubic hair, right? Or trait-option suggestion.
"Trimmed is also not a length"
I agree; in the beginning Short and Trimmed both got suggested (I preferred the former) and I've asked to rename pubic hair's trimmed to short/trimmed (litphoria.com).
I'd say trait-options like "fur" or "dyed", why not?
"Dyed" would be a problem — if you've got a field of mutually exclusive options, now users have to choose between saying their pubic hair's dyed or saying what its length is. So, options that can easily coexist with other options are a problem; the same one's experienced by Species and Supernatural Nature and some others. I feel like that kinda says something about some philosophical problems behind the current form of traits though, that we can't readily do stuff like that.
Well it's better to have a choice than to have no choice. How about: "trimmed and dyed"? ;)
I'd say the important point is, if the char has pubic hair or not. So the basic idea is: "None-->Shaved-->Trimmed-->Natural" Or alternatively: "None-->Sparse-->Average-->Dense". We have already options which can easily coexist. Sparse and trimmed for example.
Got something to say?
