Sometimes I just care if the people I'm searching for like something. I feel like it would help some people (or at least me) feel more comfortable with finding new RP partners if there was an ability to search for characters who have certain preferences set to dislike.

I don't understand this. I could understand searching for someone who doesn't dislike something. But actively searching for people to play with based on what they don't like seems unintuitive.

I could see a use-case for, e.g. "find profiles into pregnancy, not into birth" - I can think of plenty of people who like big bellies but are squicked by the logical endpoint. If we had a popping kink, like F-List, "find profiles into inflation, not into popping" would be a search performed by something like 50% of the inflation fandom. The logic seems to be that by using your own no-kinks as negative selection criteria, you're not putting yourself into a situation where your partner is into something you distinctly aren't, and you don't have to look through a whole lot of profiles where that could arise. The capability is definitely sensible, and F-List has implemented exactly this feature since time immemorial (kinks can be matched on which of any combination of the four lists F-List keeps they appear on).
