Gray Tint for OOC Post Backgrounds (implemented)
It's hard to notice when someone is posting out-of-character with the current way of simply tagging them with text at the top of the post. It would be nice if the background for OOC posts were grayed slightly to make them easier to tell apart from in-character posts.

An OOC-post could be wrapped with something of a 'smaller box' ... a Quotebox as HTML goes about it. So, basically, OOC box is smaller.
I almost had an idea of adding an alpha transparency layer (dhtml handles that since a LONG time), but that would make it painful on touch interfaces where Hovering is just ...out of the question.
But, there is something that would be doable. If you do a 'Theming' system for Litphoria to allow people to change their Style Sheets for the site (basically, CSS themes) there would be a way that to create categories for style sheets to use. OOC could have its own category, and so be given different colours over the normal text.
Of course, that would be dependent on the Theme system being created... if it ever does.
I definitely do not want to make users have to customize css just to have basic site functionality like distinguishing OOC posts from in-character ones.
recessed border? Maybe ... blockquote. Generally, its a bit smaller then what is around it, and you can give it an outline of any colour you like to boot. shrug
Got something to say?
