I suppose we might run into this problem with other super-huge canons. Like there might be a star wars canon and then an extended universe canon with a bunch of wacky stuff that people into starwars might not want to play with. Hmm.

Seems like things could get messy with more than one "Marvel" or more than one "Star Wars" category in play. People may accidentally choose one rather than the other without realizing there are multiples, and if someone doesn't care which version they'll be forced to search for all multiples they're aware of. Seems better to have a "Marvel Universe" category and let people sort out amongst themselves what their limits are within that fandom. A new category for every style of play means a LOT of categories.

Well okay in the case of Marvel you could always put down things like "Spawn universe (Marvel)" because I know some people wouldnt consider spawn in the same area as Hulk and the Avengers. In all honesty.. I dont even consider Hulk to be in the right area with the Avengers. But I mean alternativly you can have other Fanons with something in DC like the Lantern corps and just the GLs or the RLs. Or Just the Batman-verse. So really the only way to have it is for it to have multiples because people might want something specific.
