As you all know, first picture posted in a character becomes the icon for chat and for everything. It would be nice to have a system that allows to 'chose a center' for the thumbnail based on that first sent picture, rather then show only 'parts of it that might be ambiguous' ... My reason for this? So far, it seems to show the <center> of a picture, but what if your image is nude? Then your icon becomes a.. tool. Some people might prefer that the icon is their face or something.

Most people upload a head shot or similar for their first image. If you do that, then it'll center roughly around the character's eyes/face, which is what you want.
I may add a cropping tool later but that's probably rather complicated a control to add.

Also, I've changed the title of this from "Icon zoom" to "Avatar cropping" to be more accurate to what the suggestion suggests.
