Feedback ยท Server Error (solved)

500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

That happens when trying to delete a Roleplay that has died. . No post in a long time. No matter what I do though, the <roleplay> is still there.

I will look into this.

I just tested this and was not able to reproduce an error when deleting a play. Is there anything special about your play?

Pascal

Well, there is someone else in the play, it is also a private play.

Wrecked Avent Site Administrator

Hmm. I did try that but wasn't able to get it still. I'll poke around with it some more - if anyone else has this issue, please chime in.

Pascal

Just got a new error now, Posting it next:

Internal Error Error Is this a bug? Make sure to file a bug report!

An error occurred while saving entities that do not expose foreign key properties for their relationships. The EntityEntries property will return null because a single entity cannot be identified as the source of the exception. Handling of exceptions while saving can be made easier by exposing foreign key properties in your entity types. See the InnerException for details.

Here's a bit more of Info to help you: A private roleplay named 'Meeting the shark' ... number 1017 (the number that follows ~/roleplay/

Pascal

reading the text, seems like a database error that sneaked its way in?

Wrecked Avent Site Administrator

I wasn't able to reproduce this but I saw something that might potentially be an issue when deleting a play. If anyone can still repo this can they try again and see if it's still an issue?

Pascal

I still have the error when trying to delete a play. Could this problem have sneaked in with some of the last changes to the site? I'd think there could have been additions to the site that caused changes to the database, but older posts didn't really create the roleplays with all of the current existing entries, so a non-existing Mendatory Key/Table Key could be causing the query parser to panic?

Wrecked Avent Site Administrator

I wouldn't try and speculate how the site works underneath. If the site's conceptual model of the database didn't match the actual database, it wouldn't even start up, and throw a bunch of errors at you.

Do you get the error if you just make a random play and then delete it?

Pascal

No errors when deleting a newly created RP. Just the old one.

Wrecked Avent Site Administrator

I took a data base backup and poked with your play (I didn't read any of the posts, don't worry). Good news is I was able to replicate it issue with your play! ... and only your play. It should be fixed for reals now.

Wrecked Avent Site Administrator

I haven't heard anything about this, so I'm assuming it's resolved.
