I'd like to be able to keep a list of contacts or bookmarks.

Would love to bookmark, or have a contact list that is essentially the same concept. Being able to add notes on each contact would also be nice, so that over time I can remember who was who, or what interest I had in them, which may have come from an RP or PM that is now gone. (By the same token, I would like to mark a profile as "read-don't-like" as opposed to being interested in them and putting them on my contact list. But that is a different suggestion, and I only offer it as an aside.)

There used to be an indicator on a name in RP/chat if you had clicked "Read", but since it was a strike-through, it wasn't well liked. At least I didn't like it, since it kind of had the connotation that I didn't like the person. I do think there should be an indicator for profiles that you have on your BM list, since putting them on your list is like saying "I am interested or like this person."
It would be a nice feature, but not critical to having book-marking and a list of book-marked profiles.

Also, I think the bookmark should be like Friends: a list that is relative to a given profile, not the account as a whole. So it's kind of like duplicating the current Friends functionality, but it's a one-way link, not a two-way connection that requires confirmation.

Interesting to see the idea of bookmarks popping up here. My issue with them, based on how they've been implemented elsewhere, is how two players can bookmark each other to form a pseudo friendship which cannot be dissolved unless both consent to remove the other. Granted, either could set their profile to 'unbookmarkable' but that causes ALL bookmarks to fall off. WA has the right idea by not letting them report status changes. Only Friending should allow that.

First pass of this is on the testing server. Scope was determined to be account wide -> specific profile. With further profile improvements to the editor, we might also get a profile -> profile specific version (an "interested in" list, maybe).
