patreon.com is a website for donations, they will likely ask you to put their icon on yiur website.. but I believe this is a good idea for litphoria as it will provide residual donations that keep coming as long as the site improves. Just an idea! Id much rather give 2-5$ a month than a one time donation of 5$ and feel like im not helping because its only 5$ and feel like a stinge becaue I probably have more than 5$ to spare. So just an idea, discuss it please.

Also, I'm not sure patreon would allow this, per their TOS? There is some adult content here.

I've seen Adult content artists posting stuff there, I believe, but I can't 100% verify it was Adult-rated content, BUT, yes, they mention that Patreon has an issue with it, yet they are still on Patreon, to some degree. I'd have to start giving to see what content they actually have on there. Given that Litphoria isn't purely an adult site, maybe it fits in their gray area. The benefit to Patreon is a scheduled monthly payment, I think. But you might be able to add that to the site via PayPal or something. Either way, if I start using this daily, I'd make use of a monthly donation feature.

There is an age-wall to get to the adult stuff, both in searching, and in creating your Profile. If there's not, I would suggest it, anyway... but individuals might make adult RPs and not check the box to add an age-wall to it, so there is that.

Patreon is OK with adult content and sexuality, given certain provisions. Here's their FAQ on the matter. Litphoria should be fine.

Okay, I will investigate this when this gets enough endorsements. Please endorse this if you'd be willing to contribute to a Paetron.

Although paypal offers recurring donations, I think a Patreon as an alternative to doing it directly through that would be nice, too.

Personally, I would only donate through an anonymous system. But I would donate.

I've handled Patreon anonymity by simply creating a different account without a familiar name.

I'd sign up on Patreon, then.

Unlike Paypal, I would want the beneficiary to not have my credit card name, email, etc.

According to the Patreon Creator FAQ on the Patron Manager they will have access to your email, and the billing address you provide to Patreon.

[In the patron manager] you will see all of your patrons categorized by their reward tier. You have access to their email address, ability to send messages, see their pledge amount, life time pledge amount, their mailing address, and when they became a patron.

I'm pretty sure you can supply fake billing address of "1 Fake But Ask Me Please Road". Will check.

They will not see your credit card details. Patreon will bill you directly, then pay the creator regularly or when they ask for it. The creator has no direct billing interaction with any patron.

Whoops, the mailing address, not the billing address. Anyway I'll find out if that can be made fake or even left blank.

Email is okay, since I would use the one I use for the site, and WA and/or future admins can see that anyway. If I can hide the mailing address, then it's all fine.

I've just poked around and it looks like there isn't even a mailing address on my Patreon account. You only fill it in, I think, if you're pledging for a reward level that asks for your mailing address - because it's a reward level that involves stuff being shipped to you.

So by default - no mailing address supplied until you're actually asking for mail.

It should also be noted that whatever Patreon does is likely less invasive than the current paypal donate. I get way more information than I need through paypal, including a full name.
