None

Is this meaningfully different from flat?

Wrecked Avent Site Administrator

Hmmm, my concern is in a large number of male profiles picking this over flat.

Wrecked Avent Site Administrator

Nothing comes to mind with the title of none, I can just see some men going

No I definitely don't have breasts!

And just clicking none sight unseen. But have nothing better to offer as alternative

Velus

That's actually exactly what I'd do, WA. Velus doesn't have flat breasts, he has no breasts and no breast size. He has a flat chest (excepting muscle), but that's not quite the same thing.

Velus

I mean, technically males still have a trace amount of mammary tissue. Isn't quite the same as being perceived as having flat breasts though.

Velus

I got curious: on this site 19 males have a breast size of flat, at least at the time of writing. We have 33 pages of profiles, so even accounting for a lot being blank or female, I suspect the flat descriptor is underused by males.

Roel

I think Flat could use some clarification, then. Why not have:

  • Flat - a character with flat breasts or male chest
  • None - a character that lacks breast tissue

?

Roel

Or any sort of way to explicitly tell them Flatis for males

Velus

I've learned from other sites that descriptions and clarifications on names don't make much difference unless they're very prominent - people pay attention to the name of the thing itself.

Howsabout just making flat/none one option? I mean I would assume most people would know which one applies.

Wrecked Avent Site Administrator

I'm okay with flat/none with the concession that it have aliases for both flat and none so either can be searched for.

Cressida Selene

Could specify Male in another suggestion and implement None as well. Seems if you want None, then Flat is truly different. None would be for a non-mammal which would not have nipples. Flat is an actual female mammary gland that is in the range of flat and has nipples. Male is for having the range of male chest shapes from flat, to developed pecs, to 'moobs', and includes nipples. Thus, I also suggest that the description for None also specifies "and no nipples."

I'd be okay with a Male option as well, as it lends towards being a "this is what men should click"
