Feedback · Ability to indicate interests that I don't care about (accepted)

Some people might just say "leave it off the list then" but that's never going to be the best solution. I want to be able to indicate that a person is able to use something in RP, but that I do not want it to be either a focus, or that I will never bring it up. "Will Try" does not do that. "Yes" does not do that. Both of those will return in searches, and this is something that I do not want to return in a search for. Being able to take it out of the mixed bag of 'unlisted' would be best, as things may go unlisted for any sort of reason (didn't know it existed, don't understand what the interest is, and on..).

Example: I don't care at all about "tickling." I'm not ticklish personally and I feel my responses to it in play are lacking, but I'm willing to indulge short, playful and non-sexual episodes of any frequency, in any play. That'd make it a "yes" except I'd return in searches for people that are looking for characters that like tickling, as opposed to just enduring it. I don't want to list it as "no", because that's likely to mean missed opportunities from people that do like it. I simply literally do not care if this thing occurs.

It sounds exactly like you want to dismiss a trait/interest. That's been around for about 2½ months, so it's been buried under a lot of other suggestions.

Confirmed that this isn't the dismissing suggestion - it does however match something that came out of it, which didn't get suggested, which is to have a visible "don't care" list. It would probably be best positioned along the bottom, and stretch across like mandatory.

I'm in support of a way to list stuff I just have no strong feelings about, and yet want to keep separate from the stuff I do feel strongly about and want to do or will try.

Velus

Actually more specifically this is one way we could pull off dismissing, but this being a very specific actionable thing would make it worth keeping in its own right.

Part of what makes this needed would be the aggressive nature of the search engine, giving equal weight to someone who has an interest in Mandatory with someone who has that interest in Will Try. Improving the search engine will alleviate most of the problem here. That said, this is also good for the completionists and those who want to be clear on their view on every interest and there's no downside, so it'll be implemented eventually.
