Move the character's description up above the traits. The site is convoluted enough and if anything I learned from f-list it's that NO ONE is going to read anything. It's just a pain to scroll down to the bottom to get a general idea of what this person wants out of this character. You could say the Traits or the Interests "give a general idea" but they're too... I wanna say mechanical or impersonal. A good hand written description is the best way to get a good feeling of the person behind the character and the character itself and it's just annoying to scroll all the way down to the bottom and it's tiring to read all the information hidden behind countless dropdowns before hand.

This was actually the justification for moving the description to the end; people are often uninterested in reading much of the description and just scroll down past it to see kinks and interests and stuff.
So when you say...
and it's just annoying to scroll all the way down to the bottom and it's tiring to read all the information hidden behind countless dropdowns before hand.
... that would perfectly describe many people who have to scroll past the description to see peoples' kinks/interests, and are sick of all those expandy thingies people fill their descriptions with.
Related is Split Description to traits, interests, etc., which is a suggestion to have a short description above each of those sections so you can cue people in on the important notes.

The average person spends 15 seconds on a profile. You either have those 15 seconds finding out immediately useful information about your profile, such as your traits and what you want to play, or you spend them getting a few sentences into your description before clicking off. This site lets someone scan an entire profile within this time period, meaning a lot more people will be able to "read" the profiles.
If you've interested them past those 15 seconds, they can drill into specific areas that they like (see what you have to say about your core, mandatory, etc) or just expand everything and give the profile a more thorough review.
This is considerably better in my opinion than what F-list does, which has a culture of people making heinously long profiles with lots of customization (making it then harder to read), then getting upset someone isn't spending an hour to read it all.
